Trying to be healthy

This year, I have resolved that I will be healthier and get my booty into shape. I want 2013 to be MY YEAR. I want to feel good about me again. Over the course of 12 years, I have given birth to 5 children. Wow! Its time to get my body back.

I am struggling though. I sometimes just don't feel like working out. I sometimes want to go and get a big, fat, candy bar because I feel I deserve it. I think, "Oh, if I don't work out today and have a little junk food, what can it hurt?" It hurts ME. I just don't happen to think that at the time. I know that I won't magically have the healthy lifestyle that I want. I wish it could be magical.... if only life were that easy! Like yesterday.... I worked out (yay!) but then.... I ate a bunch of milano cookies. Fail. I was quite upset about it later on in the day. Today, I am not beating myself up over it. I realize that sometimes this will happen. There is always the next day to be better. I know that I can be!

So, I have taken to my Pinterest, and been pinning a bunch of exercise and healthy things. I've gotta say... it is actually helping me. Its nice to be able to "pin" what I want to do, and what I want to eat, and what I want my future self to be. It is my "thinspiration". See what I did there? :)

I know that this is a lifetime journey. I will stumble along the way. I just need to get back onto that horse, and know that I can do this. I will do this! It is about time that I do something for me.

Owly birthday goodness!

Here in a few weeks, my youngest daughter, Blake will be turning 1. I always look forward to each of my daughters' birthday, but this one is especially special. She was born at 31 weeks, and was in the NICU for 57 days. She had some difficulty at the beginning of her life, but you would never even know it today. She is a very happy, healthy 11 month old baby girl. So, I am throwing the best possible birthday that I can for our little miracle girl.

The birthday theme is owls. Now I'll admit, I didn't even know owls were a big thing until after I had her. She was just so tiny and little, which reminded me of a cute, fuzzy little owl. So, any kind of owl thing I can find, I get for her. Her bedroom decor is owls, so it just makes sense to do it as a birthday theme as well. I never knew there were so many options for this!



These are the birthday plates, cups, and napkins! Aren't they just adorable? I was very particular about what I wanted for the birthday eateries. After much searching, I purchased these from Oriental Trading. The prices were actually pretty good! Shipping was decent, but I can't complain, as I found what I wanted.



These are the wonderful party favors that I found. I wanted to get at least 5 little owls, but wanted some for a decent price. I always want to get the most out of my money. I found these on Etsy, and they were only $14.40. Plus, they came with little ties and bags. Totally a score!



I also found this totally adorably amazing shirt on Etsy. I actually had found this about a year ago, but never thought I would buy it. I just like browsing on Etsy, and finding one of a kind things. The quality on this shirt really is amazing. The picture really doesn't do it justice! I would gladly order from this seller again. She really does have TONS to choose from! I am ALMOST done with my owl purchasing.... so stay tuned!!! I'll be sure to post more owly goodness!!!

Welcome to my blog!!!

So, in the past, I have blogged before, but then I stop because I just feel lazy and don't want to blog. Now, I want to blog for (mostly) my sake, and for others that are close to me and don't get to see me often. So, here goes.... I'll do a quick intro here. My name is Christina, and I am in my late 20's. Dude, do I feel old! I have lived in Montana for almost 4 years. I am a stay at home mom (if you didn't guess already) and I am Mommy to 4 daughters, and 1 step daughter. That is 5 girls in all. Oy vey! I am also engaged to the greatest love of my life. No date for the wedding as of yet, but it will happen sometime next year. At least it had better! I am deciding to blog about EVERYTHING. There will be no real theme. It will be whatever I choose.
